A family-friendly neighborhood in Phoenix, Arizona was confronted with a new storage facility development being planned on a property that stood as the area’s focal point. Not only was the out-of-state developer unconcerned about disrupting their community, but the plans proved to be fiscally unsound and a waste of local resources. The group of concerned citizens needed to present a feasible alternative to the city council to reevaluate and stay the proposed construction approval. So WDG was engaged to help conceive a full “citizens-first” proposal featuring a small retail complex that would provide a greater benefit to the neighborhood and area at large.

WDG CAD-modeled and visualized a local architect’s blueprint sketches to highlight the untapped potential of the property. To properly communicate this alternative and get the city planner’s attention, WDG also generated a 3D snapshot as an exhibit that would be easily viewed and passed around at the council meeting.
